QUESTION: I recently saw Kate Jackson in a commercial; she looks great. Other than Charlie's Angels, what has she done? - Danny Sauve, Ottawa, Ontario
ANSWER: Cool Sabrina on Charlie's Angels, Kate Jackson helped add a little spark to prime time in the late '70s. In the '80s, she starred as housewife-turned-spy Amanda on Scarecrow and Mrs King; she also served as producer on the show. Since then she has appeared in at least one TV-movie every year. Currently, Jackson hosts the WTN series Trouble in Mind (Tuesdays).
In 1995, Kate Jackson adopted a son, Charles Taylor Jackson.

Kate Jackson given the boot: Lincoln-Mercury has unceremoniously dumped ex-TV star Kate Jackson as its spokeswoman. The comely actress who once starred on "The Rookies" and "Charlie?s Angels" got the heave-ho in favor of some 15- and 30-second spots that could generously be called the stupidest commercials ever produced for television. The new ads feebly attempt to spoof old TV shows and movies being watched by a fictitious channel surfer. In theory, the ads are supposed to woo a younger buyer to Lincoln-Mercury. In truth, the ads are dumb, and fall embarrassingly short of being good.
Kate Jackson was only 23 when she began her role as Jill Danko on the Rookies.

Charlie's Angels might be considered somewhat politically incorrect in the "enlightened 90s," so it was refreshing to read this quote from Kate Jackson, one of the detecting beauties. "I don't want to try to keep looking like I'm 42 until I'm 80. I'm not ashamed to play parts that are my age. I'm either 47 or 48 … And I never look at my driver's license, and I don't let anyone tell me." We always did think that Sabrina was the smart one! "When other little girls wanted to grow up and be ballarinas. I was dreaming about being an actress. It's something I just always wanted to do - and now, I guess, I've done it."
