“Scarecrow and Mrs. King,” a one-hour dramatic-adventure series about a secret agent and his inexperienced woman partner who engage in international intrigue, has begun production of five segments in various European cities. The series will return this fall for its second season, on MONDAYS (8:00-9:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

“Scarecrow and Mrs. King” stars Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxleitner in the title roles. “Scarecrow” is the code name for agent Lee Stetson (Boxleitner_, and Amanda King (Miss Jackson) is his often-reluctant partner in his investigations.

The episode underway is set against the breathtaking Bavarian Alps and has various historic sites in Munich, West Germany. It will also include returning series regulars Beverly Garland as Amanda’s mother, Dotty West; Mel Stewart as Billy Melrose, Scarecrow’s superior in “the Agency”; Martha Smith as Francine Desmond, Melrose’s personal assistant; and Paul Sout and Greg Morton as Amanda’s energetic sons, Philip and Jamie.

Miss Jackson and Boxleitner will also film segments in Salzburg, Austria, June 29 through July 10; Tegernsee, West Germany, July 11 through July 20; and London, England, July 23 through August 7.

Production is then scheduled to resume in Los Angeles on August 20.

“Scarecrow and Mrs. King” is produced by Shoot the Moon Enterprises, Ltd., in association with Warner Bros. Television. Juanitta Bartlett is the executive producer, Michael McLean the supervising producer, and Michael Maschio the producer. Williamm Wiard will direct the segments filmed in Munich, Tegernsee and London, with Clifford Bole directing another segment in London and Salzburg.
